Inspired by the presentation Making Space Climate Change by Dianne Saxe, Environmental Commissioner of Ontario (ECO), The State of Cycling will further attempt to challenge Brampton residents to cut their car trips by 5% per year, using 2016 as a baseline.

The Region of Peel has set a 50% sustainable transport goal for 2041. The State of Cycling will also track the progress toward this goal.
