2021 Report

The Bikeport Brand

The ongoing pandemic continued to make 2021 a challenging year for The Bikeport. However, bicycle training was modified to be delivered safely, modeled after Dutch cycle training lessons. Amazon Associate Advertising revenue continued to perform reasonably well.

After a failed application to access the Twitter API, development on a WordPress plug-in that to help automate social media service delivery was stopped.

Kevin has started a new project called Papineau Homes that will eventually mean relocating The Bikeport into Northern Ontario. However, when completed, The Bikeport will be able to expand services into bicycle repair and restoration.

Paying It Forward

The sole CAN-BIKE participant of 2021 actually paid for 2 lessons but was not able to complete the second. Rather than a refund, the participant asked that her payment be put toward the donation value for 2021. The revised value is indicated below.

Total Revenue: $1,471.65
Approximate Donation Value: $227.17 ($147.17 + $80.00)

More details on how the approximate donation value above will be used will be available soon. Stay tuned!
