Emissions Cost Estimate

Every km driven by every car represents an additional societal cost of

$

dollars per km.

It Adds Up

Estimates from indicate that for every km cycled, grams of CO/2 emissions are saved.

Estimate Method

Carbon dioxide is the main cause of human-induced climate change, and transportation is one of the largest sources of air pollution in Canada.

Pollution has a cost on the environment. The carbon pollution price from the Government of Canada is used to estimate that cost in this document.

For every litre of gasoline a car uses, about 2.3 kilograms of carbon dioxide is produced.

Ford’s F-Series trucks were the most sold vehicles in Canada in 2019, and has been Canada’s best-selling light vehicle model for 54 consecutive years. Estimated carbon dioxide emissions will use the manufacturer’s specifications for city-rated fuel consumption.

The city fuel consumption rating for a 2019 Ford F150 XLT Supercrew LWB 4WD is 12.8 L/100km.
